Addition To Building 92

Project Description

Steelcore Electric, Inc. was subcontracted to provide new electrical power and communications ductbanks, lighting and lighting controls, power outlets and new ground grid for the new ground up addition to Building 92 located in Naval Base Point Loma, CA.

Scope Of Work

Work on this project consists on installing a new electrical service from and existing substation that will be retrofitted with a new smart ION 86050 meter and new breaker and will require work on a live road for the installation of an underground ductbank that will be concrete encased. Existing communication ductbanks are required to be rerouted away from the building footprint and a new communication ductbank that will be concrete encased will be installed from an existing manhole to Building 92 communication room. Building electrical systems consist of main electrical panel, subpanels, transformers, lighting fixtures and controls, wall and floor power outlets and raceways for fire alarm and communication systems to include installing cable trays.
