Steelcore Electric, Inc was subcontracted to provide a new main electrical service for Building 3232 a Naval Base San Diego.
Scope Of Work
Work consisted of providing new underground ductbank installation where directional boaring was used to install underground ductbank under road to provide a new medium voltage 12kV primary to a new 750KVA transformer from an existing medium voltage switch. A new 480 volt, 3 Phase, 1200 Amp main distribution switchboard was provided in the main electrical room which we used to reconnect existing panels in the building. Extensive coordination was required for installation during power outages to tie in new and existing electrical services as multiple buildings were affected during outages. Steelcore successfully coordinated outages and completed installation within allotted time.
